Architectural Review Committee

 

The first meeting of the ARC Committee took place on July 4, 2003. It was unanimously agreed that the committee would not contest any approved alterations made in Heritage Cove prior to July 4, 2003.  Hurricane shutters already installed are "grandfathered in."

 

The current members are:

Members – Wolf Tschaikowsky (HC01 Homes), Eric Naunapper (HC02 Homes),  Mary Nicklaus (VL1H Villas), Charles Meconitas (Condos) and Ed Metz (VL2H Villas)

Mailbox Guidelines

Henceforth The Architectural Review Committee MUST APPROVE the following:

Landscape changes

Exterior paint color

Driveway color

Shutters (only white color or the color of the house permitted)

Gutters

Weather panels

Enclosure of lanai or entry

Skylights

Ornamentals in yard

Landscape curbing

Pool additions

Any additions to home

Any other exterior change or addition, to the unit

 

This includes the condominiums and villa associations for their common property.

 

Architectural Review Committee Approval Process:

  1. Apply to the ARC in writing using the request form available in the community center office or
    click here for a copy of the form

    (note there are 2 sides to the form).

  2. This request should be made at least 7 days in advance of the ARC meeting.

  3. The request must include type of material and drawing where applicable.

  4. The ARC meets on the first Tuesday of each month to review and approve or deny all requests.

  5. The ARC will notify the unit owner in writing whether the request has been approved or denied.

    The Fining Committee will be enforcing the above.

    The process for the Fining Committee is as follows:

    1. Violation is noted and verified.
    2. First letter of violation is mailed via regular and certified mail.
    3. Letter gives ten days to comply and states the process that will follow if violation is not corrected.
    4. Second letter of noncompliance is sent and notifies the person of a 14 day notice of the Board of Directors meeting for the purpose of a Fining Hearing.
